Looking for a Donut Maker who has baking, pastry making or donut making experience to join our Dough Joy team in our production kitchen in West Seattle. At Dough Joy, we make donuts differently, as we make delicious yeast donuts without any animal products in creative and fun flavors.

You will be responsible for creating donuts from scratch every day, so this position would be perfect for someone who wants to show off their skills, loves yeast, and takes pride in their baking / donut making background.

We strive to create a brand that adheres to both ethical and eco-friendly practices, allowing us to create a tasty product that everyone can enjoy.

Job requirements

Responsible for product preparation including yeast donuts, frostings and toppings.


-Be able to work early in the morning, approximately 8 a.m. to 4 a.m., 3 to 6 days a week (24 to 40 hours and more depending on the candidate’s needs / preferences!)
-Ability to work weekdays and weekends is required
-Must be willing and open to learning, trial and error, and adapt to changing situations
-Experience in making bread, pastries or donuts required
-Be very attentive to details; temperature, timing and weight
-Scale (weigh) ingredients, dough, donuts, frostings and frostings correctly
– Complete production schedule for each shift
-Use troubleshooting and problem solving when facing obstacles
-Minimize waste
– Wash, sanitize and dry all items placed in the service area, including all donut making utensils and machines
-Comply with all safety and hygiene guidelines and procedures (including hand washing)
-Be competent in the use and operation of all necessary tools and equipment, including scales, blenders and other commonly used kitchen equipment
– Perform more than one task at a time, calmly and efficiently in an extremely busy and stressful work environment
-Work alone in a confined space to prepare all the donuts
– Lift and move up to 25 pounds, lift and / or move frequently up to 50 pounds
-Use and operate safely and efficiently all necessary tools and equipment
-Be able to stand and walk for an entire shift
-The salary starts at $ 20 / hour + tips (approximately $ 24 to $ 26, tips included), paid vacation and paid sick leave.
