Kelland Watts started this afternoon in Peterborough’s FA Cup first round tie against Salford City. Watts helped Posh keep a clean sheet in a disappointing scoreless draw. It was Kell’s fourth appearance of his loan spell.

Matty Longstaff continues to be sidelined with a hamstring injury. The midfielder has missed Colchester United’s last 6 games including today’s FA Cup first round away to Newport County which they lost 2-0.

Lucas De Bolle resumed light training last week. He has been ruled out of training since returning from the international break with the Scottish U21s with blurred vision. De Bolle suffered a concussion in August and has just one substitute appearance on loan with Hamilton.

Goalkeeper Dan Langley was only on the bench in Gateshead’s 3-2 FA Cup first round loss to Stevenage. Dan hasn’t played since a 3-1 defeat at Woking last month. He made 11 appearances during his loan spell.

Garang Kuol came off the bench to steer the Central Coast Mariners to a 3-0 win over the Western Sydney Warriors. The 18-year-old replaced Paul Ayongo in the 63rd minute. Kuol’s impact was immediate.

In the 66th minute, his tackle caused a Western Sydney defender to lose the ball in the box. Fellow substitute Michael Rhus in the second half pounced on the loose ball and put it in the back of the net to make it 1-0.

Six minutes later, the substitutes combined again when Kuol’s cross from the touchline led to a tap-in from Rhus to make it 2-0. The Central Coast Mariners added a third by Samuel Silvera to make it 3-0.

Kuol’s assists can be seen at the 1:35 and 2:05 marks in the YouTube video below:
