The 35 most anticipated hotels of 2023
As new hotels continued to open during the Covid period, 2023 is shaping up to be a banner year for new destinations to discover around the world. Iconic hotels on all continents will be ready to welcome travelers in search of new, authentic and quality experiences. There is also a trend towards establishments offering facilities to local residents and integrating naturally into their environment.
Finally, there are many mixed resorts in the making… offering private residential accommodation, apartments or villas, for rental or purchase, self-managed by the brand or as a combo, with hotel services in addition.
Here is an overview of the 35 hotels we plan to open next year. From Paris to Reunion, via London, Rome, Amsterdam, Split or Miami, to the Seychelles, the Bahamas or the private islands of the Pacific, the mountains of Japan or the sands of Saudi Arabia… and many more destinations that tourists, locals and industry professionals dream of.

Several luxury, design and lifestyle hotels are expected to open in France in 2023.
🛎️ Hotel Aurora in Paris
The first European hotel of the eco-luxury hotel group “1 Hotels”, Aurore will be located in the heart of the 13th arrondissement of Paris, in the Tolbiac-Chevaleret district and therefore in the immediate vicinity of the François Mitterrand library. The hotel will have 140 rooms including 23 suites, a café overlooking the Claude-Lévi-Strauss promenade, a restaurant-bar with a panoramic view, as well as a fitness center and spa of 1000 m² and from “Cloud Cafe“, a coworking café. Within this 12,700 m² property, a second building will house a youth hostel, the Slo Living Hostel, with 179 beds, as well as a cabaret imagined by La Bellevilloise.
The two buildings are designed in wood and bronze metal, and will be connected by a breathtaking 28-meter-high planted walkway.
🛎️ EKLO Paris Porte de Versailles
EKLO Paris is the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles new exhibition center hotel. In addition to the existing accommodation offer, the hotel offers an innovative and ecological concept thanks to its affordable urban lifestyle positioning. Many eco-responsible devices will be implemented there, such as the prevention of wastage of water, energy or food, as well as the sorting and recycling of waste.
Catering to both leisure and business travelers, its 340 rooms range from singles to family rooms to dorms. There is also a restaurant, a bar, a communal kitchen, meeting rooms and a panoramic rooftop with a view of Paris.

🛎️ Citizen M Opera in Paris
Located rue du Croissant, near the Grands Boulevards and a few minutes from the Opéra Garnier, Citizen M Opéra will soon welcome travelers and residents of the City of Light. It will have 84 rooms, work and relaxation areas, a bar and a “canteenM”, open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. In line with its positioning, the hotel will also focus on promoting local Parisian arts and culture with 120 works of art by local artists displayed outside, inside and in the room.

🛎️ Hyatt Place in Cannes
Hyatt arrives in Cannes, opening a Hyatt Place with 152 rooms and 7 suites. With a privileged location by the sea, it will be close to one of the marinas. You will have access to the city center and the Old Course of the Cannes-Mandelieu golf course.
It will feature two dining halls, the Zoom Glocal Dining bar and restaurant, a rooftop, a sea-view infinity pool and a state-of-the-art fitness center. The glass facade will bring modernity and light to the lobby and the lounge, which will rise over two floors. It will also be an ideal place for events on the Côte d’Azur with a dedicated space of 400m2.
🛎️ Canopy By Hilton in Cannes
Hilton is also coming to Cannes with the opening of a Canopée in the heart of the city, in the emblematic district of Le Suquet, near the beaches of the Midi, the Promenade de la Croisette, the Old Port and the Palais des Festivals. . This glamorous hotel is ideally located. Consisting of 143 rooms and suites, the majority with balconies and sea views, it will also include a 400 square meter rooftop terrace, a bar and restaurant for tourists and locals, an indoor and outdoor swimming pool, facilities fitness center with a spa, as well as 380 square meters of conference and event facilities.

🛎️ Mama Shelter in Rennes
Located in the Hôtel de la Monnaie, the prestigious building on Place des Lices in Rennes, the Mama Shelter in Rennes is consisting of a set of five buildings from different periods, all listed as heritage. The whole represents an area of 11,000 m2, and a 4-star hotel with a relaxed style.
119 rooms, “all unique”three bars-restaurants including a panoramic restaurant, a roof terrace, a spa with swimming pool, a space for seminars and food shops in short circuit… like all Mama Shelter hotels, its vocation is to fit into the neighborhood life.

🛎️ Wood Hotel & Spa in Trois-Bassins – Reunion
Located to the west of the island, at the Pointe des Diamants, on the coast of the commune of Trois-Bassins, the 4-star boutique hotel of the Côté Sun Hotels group will primarily target local tourists, but will undoubtedly also attract international visitors.
As its name suggests, the hotel is built mainly in – eco-responsible – wood, with 84 units: junior and senior suites, 5 villas for rent with panoramic ocean views. In terms of services, it will offer a huge 50-metre swimming pool, a large spa, an oenological workshop and a gourmet restaurant. The opening of what will be the first luxury hotel in the region is eagerly awaited by the islanders.
