St. Louis restaurant openings and closings: December 2021
[ad_1]
Somehow, against just about anything you can think of, the St. Louis restaurant scene has gone through another pandemic year. While we were all eager to reflect on the year (or both) as a whole as it drew to a close, several companies were still writing their restaurant stories, ending the year with moves, rebranding. , new locations and tough decisions to say goodbye.
On the openings front, December was characterized by expansions and displacements. Prime 55 Restaurant & Lounge, the chic steakhouse that (* touch of wood *) broke the curse of its East Loop storefront location, opened a second location at the new Le Méridien St. Louis Downtown, while Poke Doke and Schlafly added new locations to their growing portfolio.
In December, we also bid farewell not only to the year, but to a few popular restaurants as well, including Copper Pig, Southampton’s beloved gathering place that will be sadly missed by loyal customers in the area. As owner That Nguyen teased, he’s ready to rent the place to a budding restaurateur, so hopefully this storefront won’t be dark for too long.
Did we miss something? Leave a note in the comments.
