Navigator of the Seas Live Blog – Day 6 – Day of the Seas
As we head north from Mexico we had the first of two days at sea on the way back.
The last three days have been a lot of fun ashore, but today we decided to kick back and relax.
I got up before the family and hung out in the solarium for a bit. The sun was shining, but there was a strong breeze which made it cooler.
Something good offered is that you can borrow blankets from the towel station.
Eventually the family woke up and set off, so we headed over to the Windjammer for breakfast.
Being a day at sea, we just took it easy. Lots of indoor activities were busier than normal because the cooler temperatures outside forced more indoors.
I managed to take my first nap of the day in the late morning.
While the wind might have made the pool deck a bit chilly, our balcony felt great with plenty of sunshine and protection from the breeze.
For lunch my kids had El Loco Fresh while my wife and I returned to the Windjammer.
At this point I needed another dose of caffeine so I grabbed Starbucks.
Something good about the Starbucks location on Navigator is the not-so-famous seating area behind the bar. It has large windows that overlook the ocean and the promenade deck.
A few readers wanted to know more about the gym situation, so I walked around there.
I couldn’t find a crew member to ask directly, but it appears that face masks are needed during training. There was signage saying so, and all the guests I saw in the gym were wearing their masks.
When I got back to the room my kids reminded me that I promised them milkshakes at some point on the cruise, and like all daddy I told them I don’t remember promising anything fun like that. They didn’t buy it.
Johnny Rockets on Navigator of the Seas is a counter service point, where you order and go. Most of the other ships have Johnny Rockets as a sit-down restaurant.
I had milkshakes and onion rings for the kids to share with my wife and I.
Back in the bedroom, I started watching a documentary and ran until the second nap of the day!
I woke up to a beautiful sunset right off our balcony.
Dinner tonight was the last of our 3 night specialty package and we went to Jamie’s Italian.
The kids love the pasta here, and I decided to try Jamie’s Burger just to mix things up.
We weren’t able to get the kids into Adventure Ocean so we left them in the cabin for a bit to play on their devices.
We ended our evening with guitar music in the pub.
Tomorrow is one more day at sea.
